In The Translation Gate, we regularly have different types of medical translation and localization projects such as medical document translation, medical device translation, medical reports translations and much more medical translation services.
The project was about medical Spanish translation needed for a medical research that contained about 10,000 words including a lot of medical terminologies. Our client requested a medical translation service from English to Spanish as a first step then also from English to Swedish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, German, Italian, French and Hebrew.
In medical translation projects, we prefer doing back translation as the main process, to assure that our medical terminology translation is perfectly accurate. Back translation is the second step after translating a document from the original language to the required one without referencing the original text. So, our project manager did the following:
